Julie Carpenter, front-person and producer of the Princess Pangolin video, “Chromatophore.” This is the second video project that we’ve developed together and Julie is an open, energetic performer and a great collaborator. I’ve been a negligent blogger while I finished up the Princess Pangolin video for the song “Chromatophore” with front woman Julie Carpenter. My role in this production was Director and Director of Photography. We shot to 16mm Double X one hundred foot rolls on an Arri S camera with a variable speed motor. I did all of the lighting, camera work, and direction except the choreography, which was developed between Julie Carpenter and Shawn Lockie.
